Born in Toronto, Gary has been throwing darts professionally since 1985. Over the next decade he quickly moved up the Canadian national and world rankings. In 1992, he finished top 16 in the Canadian National Championships, and from 1995 through 2000 he competed in 6 World MatchPlays, 5 PDC World Championships and 2 World Grand Prix events.
Gary moved to the United States in 2004 and has risen to the top of the American dart circuit. He is coming off his best year ever in 2008, which saw his rise to the top 40 in the PDC Order of Merit. In June, he advanced to the finals of the prestigious UK Open and in July he led the Team America to a first place finish in the WDF Americas Cup, where he also won the Men's Singles title.
Gary is now playing full time on the PDC circuit
